For their Spring Mountain Cabernet, Quivet sources grapes from a 30-acre vineyard that was planted in 1990. The terrain is varied sedimentary-type soils on steep slopes. The wines from here are dynamic and balanced. According to the winemaker: "Wines produced from this vineyard express intense and concentrated flavors coupled with polished mountain tannins. Dark, firm, rich and structured. While accessible in their youth, the wines will age gracefully, producing more overall complexity and balance."
