A brooding and pungently earthy nose mixes dark berry aromas with humus, underbrush and sauvage notes. There is very fine richness to the suave and quite round medium-bodied flavors that retain a lovely sense of vibrancy on the lingering finish. This is finer than the Porrets but less powerful. A qualitative choice.

Moderately saturated medium red. Musky aromas of wild strawberry, earth and spices. Juicy and intensely flavored but tight, even a bit tough, with savory soil tones dominating. This very structured wine appears to be going into a shell. (ST) 90+

92 points from Jeannie Cho Lee, Master of Wine: "Much fuller and denser than the 2013, this Pruliers is tannic and firm with blackberry and cassis fruit. Savory herbs and spices on the finish. This wine was just bottled in April, only 8 months before this tasting. Needs at least 4 to 5 more years in bottle." (11/2014)
