Wonderful aromas of plums, orange peel and stones. Full-bodied, round and soft with a juicy finish. A deep and rich pinot. Fantastic wine. Made from six hectares. Best ever?
Ripe and pure, featuring cherry, blackberry, raspberry, mineral and light toast notes. Balanced and intense, playing out on the long, mouthwatering finish. Best from 2019 through 2032. *Top 100 Wines of 2017* (BS)
A ripe and attractively fresh nose features notes of violet, plum, earth and dark currant. There is both good detail and energy to the sleekly textured middle weight flavors that deliver solid length on the balanced finish that displays only a touch of rusticity. *Top Value*
This ripe and fruity wine comes from Faiveley's wholly-owned vineyard in Mercurey. A touch of tannin gives structure to the cherry fruits and ripe acidity. (RV)
Medium red. Pungent aromas of redcurrant, pomegranate, tobacco and brown spices. A wine with moderate weight and fleshiness; dusty, spicy flavors of redcurrant, iron, tobacco and earth convey the ripeness of the vintage. Shows good breadth but not yet especially filled in. Hints of leather and earth add complexity. This satisfying, soil-driven wine is already quite expressive, Finishes with dusty tannins and a very good saline persistence. (ST)
