An admirably pure and reserved nose features ripe and airy red currant and raspberry aromas that exude subtle notes of earth and underbrush. The mid-palate is relatively generous and already accessible and while the finish does display some of the hallmark austerity, like the Echézeaux this is unusually forward. This is certainly pretty and while it would not be fair to describe it as light, it is on the lighter side. In sum, this is perfectly good but not special.
