The 2016 Chablis Vosgros, which is aged solely in stainless steel, has a fresh, linear, Granny Smith apple and wet limestone-scented bouquet. The palate is crisp on the entry with just a hint of blackcurrant leaf, building in the mouth toward a pleasantly saline finish. Linear and taut, this Zen-like Vosgros should drink well for several years.(NM)
(just racked and sulfited after a late malolactic fermentation): Pale yellow-green color. High-pitched aromas of lemon, lime and powdered stone. Juicy, firmly built and nicely delineated, with an impression of lemony acidity giving the wine penetration and cut. Not better today than the village wine but then this wine seems a bit hardened by the recent sulfur addition and finishes with some dryness.(ST)
