A restrained, ripe and ultra-pure nose of acacia blossom, white peach and lightly spiced pear gives way to intense, vibrant and notably well-concentrated flavors that possess a firm acid spine that shapes the tension-filled and softly mineral-inflected finish. This moderately complex effort is very dry and I am optimistic that the underlying material is present such that this will add depth with bottle age. *Outstanding*
Pale yellow. Reticent but pure aromas of musky grapefruit and gingery spices. Opulent but shapely too, with harmonious acidity giving shape to the citrus and spice flavors. Finishes strong and long. (ST)
The 2010 Meursault La Goutte d’Or wraps around the palate with expressive fruit. Floral and mineral notes develop in the glass, as the wine acquires further dimensions of expression. The Goutte d’Or impresses for its depth and round, caressing personality. This is rich and ample in style, like the Petit Charrons, but with considerably more finesse. (AG)
Quite explosive on the nose - expansive for an Ente wine yet still in a very tight corset. Real depth and strong minerality. Concentrated wine which recalls Colin-Morey in style. Great density and precision. Reverberant. 17.5/20 points.
