Stylistically meriting its name, the Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes is Barthod's finest 1995: Dark ruby colored, with a super-refined nose of roses, violets and sweet fruits, this velvety textured, medium-to-full bodied wine is packed with concentrated ripe sweet cherries. (PR)
Very good deep red. Tangy, musky, mineral-tinged aromas of strawberry, raspberry, espresso and spices; really quintessential Chambolle. Fat, silky and expansive on the palate; as seductively sweet as this is, it's also deep and firm at the core. Really packed with flavor. Finishes very long and spicy, with plenty of tongue-coating tannins, but here the tannins are supple and ripe. (ST)
