There is also a new red varietal Garnacha, the 2015 Laventura Garnacha, which was sourced from a 50-year-old vineyard in the village of Tudelilla on boulder soils at 500 meters in altitude. It fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in 600-liter oak barrels for 12 months. It's a floral and elegant style of Garnacha, with no noticeable oak, fine tannins and great freshness. It's pure, crystalline, fresh, tasty and terribly balanced. Delicious Garnacha! Very Zen! (LG)
