There is just enough reduction present to shave the top notes off of the otherwise very pretty aromas of mostly ripe yellow orchard fruit along with subtle spice, acacia blossom and a hint of wood toast. There is outstanding intensity to the taut and well-focused medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality onto the linear and markedly dry finale. This will need a few years to flesh out and become more civilized but if you have the patience to wait a few years, this would be a good cellaring candidate. Recommended. Drink: 2020+ *Sweet Spot Outstanding*
Bottled. Good grip and raciness. Very much new Meursault style. Almost painful acidity! But good constitution and structure. Not much Charmes expansion in evidence yet. (JR)
