Established in 1996 by Yves and Arnaud Lambert, Domaine de Saint-Just produces a variety of traditional Saumur wines from white to sparkling to red. They are situated in the village of Saint Just-sur-Dive, near Saint Cyr en Bourg, where the sandstone, clay and limestone soils impart a distinctive chalky mineral quality to the wines. The Lamberts work hands-on in the vineyard which is in the process of conversion to fully certified organic. The Saumur Rouge is made in a soft, approachable style meant to be enjoyed young and fresh accompanied by food.
