Praise from Clive Coates in his 1997 book Côte D'Or: "Bruno Clavelier (born in 1964), a qualified oenologue, took over the vines of his parents and maternal grandparents (Brosson) in 1987 and has since enlarged this domaine by extending it into Nuits-St-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin, and augmented the percentage of the wine sold in bottle. The average age of the vines is old here. The fruit is 90 percent destemmed, the wine vinified classically at 28-30 C and matured using a maximum of 30 per cent new oak. The wines are not filtered. Full, rich and perfumed, this is quality produce from a rising star."
