This is exactly the type of value Bordeaux that has enthusiasts so excited about the 2015 vintage, especially on the left bank. This is the second label to Chateau Carbonnieux in Pessac Leognan, made from the younger vines of the adjoining property that yield a rich, smooth wine that is a joy to drink in its youth. It has blue and black fruit with underlying graphite notes and just a touch of toast from the barrels. This will age great over the next 5 to 10 years too.
