Tasting Notes

Say hello to the latest and greatest iteration of what an IPA can be! The Brut IPA uses a champagne yeast to essentially rip out all of the residual sugar in the beer, leaving you with a bone-dry, super crispy brew that fits in line with traditional West Coast IPA flavors perfectly. Brut IPA's are relatively new to the scene, only being produced and recognized for about a year (maybe?) at this point. But what really stood out to us is that the style of Brut IPA was actually created right here in San Francisco by Social Kitchen's own Kim Sturdavant. So, naturally, we had to get him over to our brewery to show us how its done. He came, he saw, he broke down more enzymes than we can count (lets say a jabillion), and he taught us the ways of the Brut… all with a Kendama in his hand! Brewed with 100% Hallertau Blanc hops, Caviar Dreams is truly reminiscent of a Champagne in that the Hallertau hops give a predominant rounded sweet melon note, with the yeast ripping out all of the remaining sugars and giving it a bright, crisp finish. To my understanding, this is the first Brut IPA to actually be packaged and on the shelves, so don't miss out on this one because its literally a piece of history! (Producer Notes)
