How is Oreno always this good?! I can't recall a vintage where it didn't score in the mid to high 90s from multiple reviewers. Any other property with this kind of track record would have eclipsed the $100 mark years ago. The 2015 leads off with deep red/black fruits on the nose, with notes of black licorice and vanilla. On the palate it is layered with incredibly fine tannins and a flawless texture that's lined with cassis, black cherry, and dried strawberry. Composed, luxurious, and deep, it is a deftly made wine that will be fascinating for the years to come. This is one that is not only for the Tuscan crowd, but fans of Napa or Right Bank Bordeaux would also adore. Another winner from Oreno.

This Super Tuscan is a small marvel of class and power, especially when the vintage is taken into account. There is wonderful richness of fruit, which melds beautifully with the aristocratic oak, giving spicy scents which come through on the palate, too, right to its final note. It is dark-colored ruby with concentrated aromas of blackberries cassis and dark coco powder and stony minerals, Full-bodied, with some good tannin structure and a looooong finish.

The nose of this wine is explosive, bold, concentrated black cherry and currants that leap out of the glass. The nose is complex, camphor, leather earth combine with the fruit, but its fruit character elevates the nose and is the driving force. On the palate this 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot shows an intense structure, the wine is supremely focused, highly polished, sweet tannins frame your experience while waves of sweet cassis glide across your palate, this in an intense wine. The finish shows a little tannin but it only serves as a reminder that this wine should go in your cellar for a couple of years before you drink it. A truly stunning wine.
