This has a zesty, sweet floral aroma, with delicate, well-spiced flavors of apple tart, flan and cocoa powder. The plush, mouthfilling finish of cream, vanilla and raspberry is fresh and balanced. (KM)
Tasted at John E. Fells portfolio tasting. This 10-Year Old tawny has a vibrant, citrus nose with touches of sloe, Clementine, fresh ginger and lemon rind. It leaps from the glass. The palate is smooth and viscous with notes of dried mango, sloe, a touch of eau-de-vie, ginger and cloves. Nice weight on the finish with that warmth of alcohol keeping you snug and warm.
