The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon is a graceful, vanillin-scented, medium to full-bodied wine that emphasizes Cabernet's red fruit character. It is pure and well-balanced, with moderate tannin in the attractive, Bordeaux-like finish. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2016.
This is a big, ruggedly tannic youngster, with dense, complex currant, pencil lead, blackberry and cedary oak flavors that offer complexity and richness. But on the finish the tannins are nearly overpowering. (JL)
