A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot all from the Bosché Vineyard in Rutherford. Made by Larry Langbehn, the 1981 vintage was relatively cool, producing a wine that the winery described in 1995: "The center of this wine is garnet with more ruby on the edges. A product of a cold growing season, this wine is a contrast to the 1980. We observe aromas of slight cherry/berry, with saddle like leather, green olives, cypress, and dried salami. The wine is simple with flavors of crisp cherry pie, medium tannins and a touch of oak."
