Winemaker Mike Grgich says this of his 1997 Cab: "Our Cabernet is traditionally blended along the lines of a classic Bordeaux. Building on a solid base of Cabernet Sauvignon for the 1997 vintage, we added 10% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and a dash of Petit Verdot to create a finished wine with great complexity and pinpoint balance. This wine will continue to soften and become more interesting with bottle age. Serve it along with a leg of lamb or a prime cut of beef."
