This dry rum has a soft amber color and an enticingly warm caramel fragrance. On the tongue, it has a soft feel, with crème brûlée and banana flavors, braced up with lightly tannic black-tea notes and a baking spice finish. While a versatile choice for all manner of cocktails, the spice profile seems a natural for enlivening warm winter toddies.

This was one of three rums being poured at a tasting at K&L tonight. I mostly drink bourbon and rye. This was nothing like any rum I'm used to and really does have a bourbon flavor profile. There's sweetness, a bit of spice, mild oak, and plenty of tropical fruits.

This works straight and should be good on the rocks. Frank was recommending it with a twist of lime and a dash of bitters. I would love to see what this does to an old fashioned.
