It’s a big wine for Stags Leap (15.4% alcohol), but gorgeously pure, with everything well-knit into a sensational equilibrium. Odette's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is dark, plump and juicy. Black cherry, plum, spice, mint and licorice meld together in an expressive, layered Cabernet Sauvignon. The style is forward, open-knit and succulent, with considerable near and medium term appeal. A host of sweet red cherry, plum, hard candy and lavender meld into the finish. The Estate should drink well with minimal cellaring. (AG)
