Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Stags' Leap Winery "Block 20 Estate" Stags Leap District Merlot (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Merlot Block 20 Estate was aged for 17 months in French oak, 76% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose offers a beautiful perfume of candied violets, chocolate box and lavender over a core of plums preserves, blueberry pie and mulberries with a hint of cardamom. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers up layers of perfumed black and blue fruits with a velvety texture and oodles of freshness, finishing with a spicy kick. (LPB)" (10/2020)
