Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Bouchard Père & Fils Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (92BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Youthfully austere and backward on the nose with reluctant yet very ripe and highly nuanced aromas of dark Pinot fruit and spice that precede supple, complex and beautifully textured and dusty flavors that deliver outstanding length. This is a complete wine of style and grace that will require the better part of a decade to arrive at its peak." (04/2004)

Deep red. Aromas of redcurrant, strawberry, blood orange and tobacco. Silky on the palate, yet juicy, gripping and penetrating; the sharply delineated berry flavors convey a strong impression of energy. Harmonious acids extend the wine's sappy fruit. This has an exhilarating sugar/acid balance and would appear to have a long evolution in bottle ahead of it. (ST) 92+
