Bid on this bottle of 2003 Domaine Faiveley Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((92-95BH), (89-92ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Subtle oak spice and ripe plum and black raspberry aromas introduce rich, round and chiseled, muscular and very full-bodied sappy flavors that culminate in a punchy, robust and ultra powerful finish. This is a huge, indeed massive but not heavy or excessively rich wine that maintains a wonderful sense of balance. *Don't Miss*" (01/2005)

Deep ruby-red. Tight nose hints at black cherry, violet, licorice, fresh herbs and mint; very Clos Vougeot. Creamy on entry, then quite primary and youthful in the middle, with very good density but a youthful toughness. Quite bright and delineated for young Clos Vougeot but firmly tannic today. A bit tougher on the back than the Latricieres, but long. (ST)
