2008 Chalk Hill Winery "Furth" Sonoma County Red Blend (qty: 5)
Bold, ripe, rich and lavishly oaked, this is an expressive mix of supple plum, currant, black cherry and berry jam notes. Full-blown, ending with melted black licorice, spice and wild berry flavors. (JL)
Expansive, decadent aromas of plum jam, cherry-vanilla, tobacco and Moroccan spices. Dense and chewy, with sweet dark fruit and floral pastille flavors and notes of clove, vanilla bean and cola firmed by juicy acidity. Ample but structured wine, with a decidedly ripe, flamboyant character. Finishes smooth and sweet, with clinging dark berry and spice qualities and serious length. (ST)
