Vivid aromas of blackberries and minerals, with a hint of flowers. Full-bodied, with a solid core of fine tannins and ripe fruit. Medium finish. This is the best La Louvière in years. Best after 2009. (JS)

his opaque ruby/purple-colored 2000 exhibits plenty of earthy, black currant, vanilla, graphite, licorice, and smoky cherry aromas as well as flavors. Medium-bodied with sweet tannin, good acidity, and a long, concentrated finish, this is the finest La Louviere since the 1990. (RP)
