From a block of vines within the famed Monte Bello estate, the Jimsomare vineyard's history dates back to the late 1800s. According to the winery's vintage notes: "In this cool growing season, we picked selectively over twelve days in late October, harvesting these grapes at ideal ripeness. Fermented on the skins for a for full two weeks, the wine was then racked to American oak, where it remained for sixteen months. Its firm acidity and bright fruit are typical of the more elegant vintages from Jimsomare."
