Intensely botrytised, with loads of allspice and mineral character, yet lively and exciting. Full-bodied, racy and very long. Fresh sweetness." (Web-2002)
Tasted blind at Bordeaux Index’s 10-Year On horizontal. What a lovely, pure bouquet with scents of brioche, honey and fresh peaches with wonderful delineation. The palate has a slightly viscous entry, very well balanced with brioche, lemon curd and vanilla, leading to an oaky, floral finish. Very well made. This is a great Sauternes from Nairac. Tasted March 2011. (NM-Wine Journal)
Pale gold. Exotic aromas of ripe apricot and sultana raisin, with liqueur-like and candied notes. Very sweet, concentrated and powerful. Extremely young, chewy and dense, with sugar, acidity and alcohol balanced at a high level. Note of licorice. Shows excellent delineation and structure from the outset, as well as terrific length.
Deep orangey gold. Gingerbread nose and lots of tang – a bit more fragile than some, but it’s certainly capable of giving lots of pleasure. 17/20 points.
