93 points Wine Spectator Insider: "Intense aromas of currant, coffee, toasty oak and sweet tobacco follow through to a full-bodied palate, with velvety tannins, great mouthfeel and a long, caressing finish. A refined Lafite. Best after 2012." (01/24/07) 92-95 points Stephen Tanzer: "... Firmly built, classy wine, finishing with sweet tannins and lovely floral persistence. A bit less inscrutable than usual for Lafite at this early stage. This will need eight years or so of bottle aging." 92-94 points Robert Parker: "One of the better wines of the vintage, the elegantly-styled 2004 Lafite Rothschild reveals hints of lead pencil, crushed rocks, flowers, creme de cassis, and cranberries. Medium-bodied with considerable finesse, length, ripeness, and structure, this blend of 90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and a dollop of Petit Verdot requires 3-5 years of cellaring..." (06/06) K&L's notes - This wine showed so fresh and alive! Regal nose that is concentrated. Some minty aromas and flavors. Fresh and delicious, round fruit covers every area of the mouth, elegant finish, loaded with class. Very long finish and it lasts for a minute on the palate. One of the best of the vintage. Please note - The 2004 Bordeaux futures will arrive between Oct 2006 and Aug 2007 (possibly delayed further). We will contact you for shipping instructions.
