Decant this red a couple of hours before serving so that the oak scents can blow off. Then the old-vine monastrell flavors of caramelized fig and marron glacé will float to the fore, supported by strong, tight tannins and alcohol. Age will bring balance to its force.
Full red. Perfumed aromas of red berries, cinnamon and cedar. Plump and spicy, with sweet plum and redcurrant flavors accented by oak and firmed by ripe acidity. Very suave and lush for the vintage, and already a delicious drink. (ST)
This plush red offers sweet fruit flavors of strawberries and raspberry jam. It fills the mouth, but the tannins are gentle, layered with chocolate and vanilla oak notes.
