93 points from Robert Parker! -"The 2004 Pinot Noir Bulldog Reserve is fashioned from the Solomon Hills Vineyard (80%) and two other Central Coast sites. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by an expressive bouquet of red and black currants, cherries, plums, flowers, and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannin, and a style not dissimilar from a grand cru Cotes de Nuits from Flagey-Echezeaux, this delicate wine is loaded with flavor intensity. Kudos to proprietor Greg Linn and his winemaker, Scott Ames." #166 Aug 2006 Cloves, violets, black cherries, raspberries and plums jump out of the glass. On palate, the decadent red and black fruits coat the mouth, coupled with touches of white pepper and forest floor, finishing with hints of dark chocolate and coffee. The wine is powerful, sometimes brooding, but with a balance and sophistication that blows the mind. This wine will be one for the ages - and the cellar.
