What does Greg Brown do with fruit from the famed Monte Rosso vineyard in a vintage that is already making raves for stellar ripeness and overall largesse? These are 50-year-old vines, and the wine that Brown fashions from these old Cab plants is well….absurdly big and crazily yummy. No question we’re talking a California style wine here, but who cares when the taste is so insanely delicious? Layers of black currants and blackberries and pretty much any black or very dark red fruit you can think of, plus a hint at pencil shavings and minerals. WOW!
