This wine is from the Library Reserve at the winery, realeased after being aged in the bottle for more than 5 years.Since then, it's been carefully stored in the cellars of a Californian mansion at a constant 59 degrees to ensure it remained fresh. The regular bottling of Rutherford Hill Cabernet Sauvignnon brought this accolade from The Wine Spectator: "Deep and concentrated, smoothly textured but needs three to five years in the cellar. Shows delicious black cherry and black currant flavors, nicely balanced with acid and full tannins. Cherry flavor lingers on the finish." (08/1988)
