David Bruce's 2005 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is made from a combination of grapes sourced from some of the best vineyards in the region, including Balleto, Cleary, Demple, Teac Mor, Truchard, Twin Hill and Windsor Oaks. The appellation's cool maritime climate and adequate rainfall allow for natural sugar development and vibrant, flavorful acidity. The wine's bouquet brings to mind red cherries, cranberries and plums with subtle notes of baking spices, like nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. The red cherry and plum notes continue onto the palate, lifted by an undercurrent of citrus, toasted pine nuts and minerals. The tannins of fine-grained and well-integrated, leading to a long, persistent finish.
