The second of the winery's two very inviting values, the Central Coast bottling marries lots of ripe, black-cherry fruit with a like-minded measure of very rich oak. It fleshy and full on the palate with a slightly firmer feel at the finish, and, like the very best of its clan, it has an uncommon sense of fruity stamina that is the hallmark of an ageworthy wine. *One Star*
Light and elegant, this polished Pinot is for early drinking. Bone dry and crisply acidic, the wine has the silky delicacy of the variety, with cherry, raspberry, tea, rose petal, cola and woodspice flavors, and a slightly astringent finish of finely ground tannins.
Medium red. Elegant red berry and woodsmoke scents, with a light hint of baking spices. Fresh and light, with bright strawberry and redcurrant flavors, gentle tannins and a persistent, spicy finish. (ST)
Spice, anise and dried cherry aromas turn tight on the palate, but there's good depth and focus. (JL, Web-2007)
