The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition blanc is a blend of 40% Roussanne, 40% Grenache Blanc, 12% Clairette, and 8% Bourboulenc. Notions of nectarines, lemon zest, honeysuckle, and lemon oil emerge from this beautiful, full-bodied, crisp white. It is best consumed over the next 4-5 years, although increasingly I am finding these wines age much longer than expected. Wine Advocate # 173 Oct 2007
