Margaret Wierenga (Margi) was just a teenage when her father, Burt Williams, started making the first Williams Selyem wines in a subterranean bathtub beneath the garage in the late 1970s. After years working at his winery in Fulton she took a paid position at the Westside Road facility in 1993, worked at Hop Kiln and finally, in 1998, decided to start her own winery. Strawberry-colored this wine smells like fresh picked Bing cherries seasoned with wet earth, cola and spice, all which continue onto the palate.
