Tasted blind. Blackish crimson. Sweet, fragrant nose. Should have a lively future ahead of it even though it’s drinking well already. Very Pauillac! 17/20 points (JR)
An attractive and seductive style of wine, the 2005 Réserve de la Comtesse has lots of black currant fruit, earth, spice and a touch of oak. It is easygoing, seductive, and best drunk over the next 7-8 years. (RP)
Bright red-ruby. More flowery than fruity on the nose, with considerable sex appeal. Then refined in the mouth, but with moderate depth of flavor. Suave, easygoing and forward, with expressive flavors of red fruits, minerals and flowers. Finishes with firm, slightly drying tannins. This will give early pleasure.
Floral, blackberry and mineral on the nose. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a pretty finish of mineral and fruit. Very reserved and refined for a second wine. (JS, Web only-2008)
