The 2007 received a 96-point score in 2009, which, four years later, appears to be right on the mark. Plenty of orange and tangerine characteristics intermixed with white currants, pineapple and wet rock notes emerge from this full-bodied, stunning Chardonnay. There is not a trace of oak or heat (14.6% natural alcohol) in this light gold-colored 2007. It combines authoritative flavor intensity with elegance, finesse and terrific minerality. (RP)
Bright gold. Deep, smoky offers honeyed pear, iodine and smoked meat scents. Sweet tangerine and lemon meringue flavors are given bite by citrus pith and depth by a toasty leesy element. The dry finish offers impressive focus and cut. This is already complex, but I'd hold off on drinking it for another year or so. (JR)
