95 points in the Wine Advocate: "The vineyard for the 2006 Triumvirat is 3.5 hectares in size planted to 90% Carinena, 5% Garnacha, and 5% Syrah. Opaque purple-colored, the multidimensional perfume offers up pain grille, scorched earth, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and black cherry. This is followed by a large-scaled, layered, opulent Priorat with gobs of spicy, intense, silky fruit, great balance, and a long, pure finish. Allow 3-5 years in the cellar and it will be at its best from 2012 to 2025." (02/08) The Los Angeles Times' Wine of the Week, April 15, 2009: "When I tasted this wine and then looked at the price, the two didn't match up. This gorgeous and elegant red from Terra de Verema in the Vilella Baixa del Priorat region of Spain could easily cost twice the price. Instead, for about $30, you get a stunning Carinyena (Carignan) with a touch of Garnacha and Syrah. Spicy and lush, the 2006 Triumvirat is beautifully balanced, even elegant. And it's smooth as silk, almost Burgundian in style. Break out a bottle for that spring leg of lamb, for ribs grilled over the fire, for a nice tri-tip or flank steak. This is a label to watch."
