Good bright, deep red. Captivating aromas of pure raspberry, minerals, truffle and flowers. Wonderfully intense, silky and pure, with superb cut for a wine with such volume. Not yet expressive-in fact this is quick backward-but this really coats the mouth with flavor. Finishes with dusty tannins and superb grip. Like the Ruchottes, this is not showing any easy sweetness today. Christophe loved this wine in barrel and believes it has shut down in bottle in recent months. But it has the tannic structure for a slow and positive evolution in bottle. (ST) 92+
Complex aromas of herbs, spice, flowers and sweet berries mark this supple, delicate red, which is fresh, harmonious and enjoyable now, but will get better with time. The finish is crisp. Drink now through 2018. (BS)
(contains some premier cru juice from Fuées) A very Chambolle nose that is airy, elegant, fresh and bright dissolves into round, supple and relatively forward medium weight flavors that possess reasonably good depth and length on the punchy and balanced finish. This is delicious and if not overly complex, certainly energetic and clean. Drink: 2012+
Bright ruby. Rich and gamey on the nose - very voluptuous. And quite evolved. The tannins seem very well melded. Really racy and crunchy with great pure fruit and excellent balance. A hint of chestnuts. Length, great stuff! 17/20 points.
Ginger, cardamom, and hints of conifer and resin tinge bright cherry and red raspberry fruit in the nose of Roumier's 2006 Chambolle-Musigny. Lean and moderately polished on the palate, this is an excellent exhibit of the invigoration and levity of which the vintage is capable, and a bottling I would plan to enjoy over the next 3-4 years.
