Hewitt's 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is a large-scaled, structured effort displaying plenty of dusty, earthy notes intermixed with chocolate, licorice, spice box, black currant, and new oak smells. With an opaque purple color as well as terrific depth and intensity, this seriously-endowed 2006 will require some cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2035. (RP)

About what you would expect from prime Rutherford Cabernet terrain, this exhibits elegance, weight and finesse, with pure currant, kirsch and blackberry flavors shaded by herb and anise notes and ending with loamy, fine-grained tannins. (JL, Web Only-2016)
From a 58-acre vineyard just north of the Rubicon Estate, this classic Rutherford cabernet has bosky cherry flavors and a dusting of chocolate richness over its tannin. While there are some green notes to the tannin, the texture is saturated, the finish cool. For roast lamb.

Pretty tannic now, which accentuates the dryness, creating an austere palate impression. So it's one for the cellar, but will it age? Yes. It's dramatically rich in blackberries, black currants and blueberries, with a voluptous edge of dark chocolate. *Cellar Selection*
