90-93 points Robert Parker: "The brilliant 2006 Pinot Noir Lindsay Estate Vineyard (made from the Calera Clone) reveals classic Cote de Nuits-like aromas of forest floor, plums, black cherries, fresh mushrooms, and hints of autumnal vegetation, a sweet, expansive mouthfeel, super-ripe tannins, and a long, impressive finish. This superb Pinot should drink well for 8-10 years." (12/08) 93 points Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine: "The first thing to know about this wine is that it lives up to the expectations for Mr. Hobbs wines. It is deep, ripe and very well-balanced with the high levels of richness that are always part of the Hobbsian formulations. But, this one pushes up against the border between high ripeness and over-the-top concentration in its distinctive delivery of a syrupy side to its red and black cherry fruit focus, and, in that regard, it perhaps lacks the broad, near universal appeal of his other Pinots. Still, we like it and will serve it alongside long-cooked meats like short ribs of beef or melt-in-mouth Boeuf En Daube." (10/08) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Tasty red plum and black cherry fruit is supple, elegant and delicate. Well-focused and persistent, with a spicy floral edge. Finishes with a light smoky oak nuance." (11/08) ETA: July 15th, 2009
