95 points Wine Spectator: "Offers fascinating aromas of cooked apple, clove and honey that follow through to a full body, with superlively acidity and spicy blanched almond and honey character on the palate. Long and powerful, showing amazing botrytis character, with so much spice and richness, yet also freshness. Even better than the superb 2006. Best after 2015." (03/10) 94 points Robert Parker: "This has a relatively simple but crisp nose with dried honey, apricot, quince and a touch of almond. The palate is well balanced with good acidity and botrytis, pure, quite linear with white peach, pear, a touch of mandarin and citrus acidity cutting through its viscous texture towards the finish. It improves the more it remains in the mouth, the nose seeming to absorb energy, the palate becoming ever more 'pixilated'. This is another intellectual Sauternes that should age beautifully. Drink 2012-2030+" (04/10) 92-94 point Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium yellow-gold. Restrained aromas of peach and spices offer good lift. Very ripe and thick, with strong acidity leavening the fruit salad flavors. Finishes with a strong, saline impression of extract and excellent persistence." (Jul/Aug '08) K&L's notes: * Spicy wine. Middle? Ralph likes it. Caramel at the end. Better than the 2001 Coutet. At UGC it showed the same. Ralph: ½* Honey and then citrus-nice complexity.
