Azuñia Tequila starts with only perfectly aged Weber Blue Agave, which grows for 8 to 10 years in the sun-drenched fields surrounding the small town of Amatitan. Each agave plant receives naturally produced rich nutrients from the fertile volcanic earth and a regime of seasonal weather. While many producers source their agave from a variety of other growers, Azunia chooses only the best agave from acres owned and maintained by Sergio Zuñiga of Rancho Miravalle estate. This quality control produces better taste, more consistency and full, ripe flavors. They harvest by hand and roast the organic agave in traditional clay hornos to ensure authenticity and depth of flavor. The process is completed with a natural open-air fermentation, and everything is bottled on site. Truly field-to-bottle Tequila of the highest quality. The Reposado is rested for 8 months and has a beautiful agave aroma complemented by butterscotch and light wood notes of vanilla and clove.
