The Beau family is one of the oldest artisanal Cognac distillers in the Segonzac, the heart of the Grande Champagne region. Samuel Beau started distilling in 1895, bottling and selling his brandies under his own name, which at that time was unusual. To this day, the Beau family still takes meticulous care of their 200 plus acres of Grande Champagne fruit, most of which is Ugni Blanc with a tiny fraction of Colombard. The Hor d' Age is an average of 30 years old. It was rated one of the 130 best spirits in the world from Paul Pacult's Spirits Journal, which gave it 5 stars and their Highest Recommendation, saying: "Harmonious and tightly-knit cognac splendor. A new entry that blew me away...and one that's affordable on cognac terms." Wine & Spirits magazine said, "...a smoky and spicy brandy with cherry and green apple fruit, caramel and mild rancio...a long earthy finish."

An outstanding Cognac of the highest quality; regardless of the price. The estate of Paul Beau distills all its own brandy from its own ugni blanc vineyards, then ages in the finest oak barrels for a soft and rich flavor; deep vanilla, concentrated fruit, and a bit of creme brulee on the finish.
