The 2004 Cru (1,300 cases produced) offers wonderfully rich cassis fruit interwoven with notes of licorice, smoke, and subtle oak, supple tannin, and a flavorful mid-palate with good expansiveness as well as finesse. It should drink beautifully for a decade or more. (RP)
Good deep red. Slightly medicinal aromas of cassis and licorice. Sweet and juicy, with primary flavors of black cherry and cassis. Possesses good stuffing if less density than the flagship wine from Vineyard 29. Finishes with building tannins. (ST)
