Licorice and berry flavors, with hints of minerals and flowers. Medium-bodied, with lovely tannins and a long, pretty finish. Always a pretty red. Best after 2007. (JS)
A seductive, classic Pomerol in its open-knit, forward display of roasted coffee scents intermixed with caramel, black cherry jam, and some sweet, toasty oak, this is a lush, medium to full-bodied, dark ruby-colored wine with good flesh, low acidity, and excellent purity. (RP)
Dark ruby. Superripe, oaky aromas of raw blackberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. More concentrated than most recent vintages of this wine; not yet complex, but ripe, solid and well-made. The chocolatey quality carries through on the palate and aftertaste.
