This well extracted wine is loaded with ripe fruit, cassis, tobacco, leather and chocolate-covered cherry. The wine is still young and astringent, so let those tannins soften over the next 5-10 years.
Deeply colored and extracted, showing plum, black cherry, blackberry and mineral notes. A big wine, with oak spice and jammy fruit, ending with firm, sinewy tannins. International in style, yet long. Best from 2013 through 2024.
The estate's 2006 Brunello di Montalcino offers up dark cherries, flowers, earthiness and tobacco in four square rustic, chunky style. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018.
Good dark red. Aromas of dark raspberry, cherry, brown spices and cola, lifted by a floral hint. A bit chunky on the palate but not heavy, displaying a chocolatey ripeness.
