Only 480 cases were produced of the 2007 Sciandri Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, composed entirely of fruit from Sciandri's Coombsville estate vineyard. Aged twenty-two months in French oak barrels, this Cabernet captures the distinct mineral and herb character of Coombsville terroir in the nose--"Coombsville dirt", as the locals say--adding aromatic complexity to it's profile of rich, dark fruits, spicy oak, and chewy tannins. Now with a few years bottle age, this classic Coombsville Cab can be opened tonight to pair with lamb or beef, or layed away for further development in bottle.
