The majority of the fruit for Karl Lawrences Napa Valley Caberenet Sauvignon comes from four of the most acclaimed vineyards in the Napa Valley: Gary Morisoli, Herb Lamb, Beckstoffer-To-Kalon and Beckstoffer-Dr. Crane. Starting with great fruit ensures a great product, but winemaker Michael Karl Trujillo took it one step further this year, adding small amounts of Cab Franc and Merlot (8% total) to create the most balanced, complex Karl Lawrence Cab to date. Loaded with black currant, fig and dark chocolate aromas that follow to the weighty palate, coating the tongue with intense flavor. The acid and tannins are in perfect harmony on this luscious wine, which is drinking well already and will just continue to improve with time.
